What We Believe

  • The Bible is the inspired Word of God and our final authority of truth.
  • Jesus is the virgin born Son of God who died for the sin of mankind.
  • He rose from the dead, ascended to the highest place of authority and will one day return to wrap up time and judge every soul according to the Gospel.
  • Through the grace of God, by faith, we are forgiven, made righteous, released from Old Covenant law, have open access to God, have a new nature, a new identity and have come into a new family.
  • The Church is of highest value to Christ and His priority in bringing all things in Heaven and Earth under His headship.
  • Christ frees us from sin, sickness, defeat, guilt, punishment, poverty, oppression and aimlessness.
  • Through Christ we are forgiven, healed, victorious, not guilty, blessed and have divine purpose.
  • We as a local church are a blessing to Hong Kong and the nations and that many will be saved and set free because we’re here!•

Some of our values and slogans:

Leadership:

  • Everyone is a leader.
  • Leaders are learners.
  • Don’t just manage your frustrations but solve them, and you’ll go to the next level.

Church and Family:

  • The Church: God’s number 1 answer to planet earth.
  • We’re building a church to reach the city, knowing that the whole city won’t fit into our church. Every church is important and we need them.
  • Unity starts with sacrifice – it’s not all about me!

Vision and purpose:

  • Healthy all round ministry is upward, inward and outward.
  • Our primary purpose as a church is to seek and save the lost.
  • Secondary purposes find their best environment for success when they exist to support the primary purpose.
  • Everything we do must relate to souls being saved.
  • Vision casters and vision carriers – both are essential.
  • More than one primary vision in a church leads to division.
  • The big picture makes every small roll important and fun.

Team and Serving:

  • We’re not building around the gifts and talents of a few, but by the sacrifice of many.
  • Your small part makes a big difference.
  • Together we’re better.
  • Simply be faithful with your gift in the season you’re currently in.
  • Together everyone achieves more.
  • Fishing is always more fun with other people!
  • We’re children who serve in the Father’s house.
  • Ask not what your church can do for you but what you can do for your church!

Growth:

  • Think small stay small. Think big get big!
  • Quality vs. quantity? We choose both!
  • Our identity isn’t numbers but our purpose is!
  • All are welcome: prostitutes, drug dealers, addicts, gays, lesbians, and everyone in-between.
  • A fishing net is better than a fishing rod, but both are important.

Giving:

  • Lots of consistent small amounts add up to consistent big amounts.
  • There’s no shortage of money, only a shortage of generosity.
  • Poverty is not financial, lack it’s mental lack.

Grace:

  • We’re not trying to make bad people good, but dead people alive!
  • Discovering who we are always leads to discovering what we can and must do.
  • Half of grace is about who you are in Christ. The other half is about who Christ is in you!
  • You’re not a human doing but a human being who was created for doing great works!

The Word:

  • You must learn the knowledge of the Bible before you can apply the wisdom of the Bible –so keep studying the Word!

Worship:

  • Every human being is a worshipper.
  • We were created to worship the King of kings.

Personal challenge:

  • Life begins at the end of your comfort zones.
  • Strength is granted to the brave.
