At City Church we believe giving should not be manipulated out of people with guilt trips and appealing to selfish motives. We believe that God has put generosity and faith in our hearts and a desire to be part of something bigger than just ourselves - His Kingdom coming to Earth, His Gospel going out and His glorious Church becoming the trophy of His grace in true beauty and power for all nations to see!
We believe the motives for our giving should be:
- Because we have our heavenly Father's nature which is a very generous nature - "For God so loved the world that he gave..." (John 3:16).
- Because we know who our source is and are not afraid to give - we don't live in a puddle of fear and holding on, but a river of blessing and releasing! Grace says, "I don't have to give." Sonship says, "I'm not afraid to give!"
- Because we believe in the vision of a ministry and want to blow wind in it's sails.
Current areas of advancement:
- Local ministry - Building a large strong local church that transforms the community around us.
- International ministry -The call is increasing to export this Gospel all over the world by sending various people and ministry teams!
- China ministry - We have people based in China and we regularly send teams in, reporting great miracles and salvation's on the increase!
- Building fund - We believe God is getting us ready to take on a permanent residence that will radically accelerate our influence and impact!
- Media ministry - We're are continually pursuing new levels of reaching mass audiences through media including the internet,TV and radio.
God told us that He would establish a move in Hong Kong that would touch the world! This has begun and is continuing to gain momentum as God increasingly links us with like-hearted people passionate about seeing the Church and nations liberated by grace.
