Rob and Glenda Rufus are the spiritual father & mother, and the pastors of City Church International (CCI). They have been married since 1975, and have raised three children who serves the Lord (Jay, Ryan and Bonnie). Rob and Glenda planted their first church Victory Faith Center during their early twenties in Pinetown, South Africa where they grew up. The church experienced the power of God moving strongly with incredible healings, signs and wonders; and it quickly grew to over 700 people within a few years. Collectively as a church, they were able to raise enough money to pay in cash for a piece of land and the construction of a 2000 seater building, situated just 5 minutes away from the city center. After twelve years of leading Victory Faith Center, Rob and Glenda felt the call to Australia.

In Adelaide, South Australia, Rob and Glenda co-led Coastlands International Christian Center with Dudley and Anne Daniel for three years, and then took on full-time leadership of the church for another seven years. In the ten years that the church was under their leadership, it acquired a large property, a beautiful church building, and saw its numbers grew from 300 to over 1500 members. As in South Africa, they again saw incredible miracles happening through their hands, and notable healings of severe illnesses became a regular occurrence. In one case, a lady who was interviewed on prime-time national news for her incurable and terminal illness came their church service. This lady got delivered and healed - God restored her life, children and health. The news channel was so shocked at the impossibility that they interviewed this lady again, along with Rob and Glenda preaching the Gospel in their church. After handing over the leadership of Coastlands in 2001, they traveled apostolically for 3 years, ministering in churches, conferences and crusades around the world.
And then, they felt the call of God to go to Asia. They continued to obey the voice of God and left for Hong Kong. They founded City Church International in July 2004. Rob and Glenda invested the third decade of their ministry into CCI, raising up a powerful community of people that are filled with the love and grace of God. CCI has come a long way and it now has some of the most incredible, servant-hearted and faith-filled people you’ll ever meet. Rob and Glenda’s ministry is also growing in international profile, as they frequently travel to minister the Gospel of God’s grace and help build local churches in many countries around the world year after year.
